Fly Line Pins

Some say it was the pragmatic Norwegian nature of Hans Mustad that led to the invention of the fly line pin in the last half of the 19th century. Others say it was his inability to tie a leader knot with half-frozen Scandinavian fingers. Push the pin-end into the front of the fly line and the hoop end of the pin is ready to accept the leader.
