There is an exceptional lesson to be learned by studying the history of the
Wally Divers. It is the lesson of “A Great Fishing Lure”.

Too often, anglers fall into the trap of thinking that one lure is a trout lure,
another is only for bass and yet another is strictly a walleye lure. With the
number of artificial lures available, it is understandable that we simplify our
classifications of lures by the species of fish they catch.

However, the best simplification of lures comes not from what they catch,
but what they do. What they do is directly related to the characteristics they
exhibit when cast or trolled.
